  • Our hens are allowed to free range and eat grass, fruits, and insects. In addition, they are fed a balanced diet containing the necessary protein, vitamins and minerals, and Omega 3s that keep them healthy and happy.

In winter we supplement their diet to ensure our eggs are just as delicious and nutritious as they are in Spring and summer.

A happy and healthy hen produces eggs that are nutritiously rich and flavorful, with a bright yolk.

  • Our hens are pasture raised, they are able to roam 3+ acres of land. They eat grasses, insects, and fruits. The hens are able to socialize, and to dirt bathe.

At dusk, the hens are brought in to their large chicken coop to keep them safe from predators and the elements. Just after dawn, the hens are let out to free range for the day.

  • Our hens begin laying eggs at about six months of age. Peak production of eggs are during the first two - three years. Each hen lays about 4 to 6 eggs each week.

In the early fall when the hens molt and daylight hours decrease, egg production drops. We

then supplement the light cycle and diet to keep them laying.

Being a smaller farm, our customers receive the freshest eggs that are produced the same week of purchase. We do sell out at the Farmers Market each week and encourage customers to order ahead.
